Carlotta Bailly-Borg (born 1984, France) lives and works in Brussels. Working primarily through drawing and painting, Carlotta creates strange and sensual figures that explore the tension between discomfort and empathy. Mixing references from mythology, medieval manuscripts, and pop culture, she builds timeless, ambiguous worlds where bodies twist, merge, and misbehave.
In addition to the DANCER toy, Carlotta Bailly-Borg created a series of drawings using her articulated figures as printing tools. By dipping their limbs in pigment, she turned them into stamps, exploring gesture, movement, and repetition. These playful experiments blur the line between drawing and performance. Each imprint becomes both trace and choreography — a record of contact, touch, and transformation.
